Ambramsky discussed economic security for the aging population and how the social security should be protected. I agree with this whole heartedly because people have worked so hard to be able to retire one day. They need the social security to fall back on. We need to prepare now so that in our future we won't have so much to worry about. But at the rate things are going, I'm not so sure there will be social security for some of us.
Ambramsky also talked about how children living in the foster care system are at somewhat of a disadvantage. When they turn 18 and have to be let go into the real world, they sometimes have it hard. They may not have a place to stay or money to help feed them. We need to be able to guide our children of the future in the right direction as to not having to worry about living in poverty.
Ambramsky also mentioned that we should prepare our children for their future. Once they are born we need to set up an account for their college fund and the parents can contribute to it whenever. This would help later on down the road for the children who choose to pursue college. I believe it would be a wonderful idea, however for people living in poverty or living paycheck to paycheck an idea like this would be hard to follow through with.
